About The Position

The position is located at the Suffolk RDC and requires working Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the possibility of overtime including weekends. The primary responsibilities include repairing and maintaining all equipment and systems within the facility. Essential functions involve knowledge of machines and tools, performing routine preventive maintenance, inspecting and testing machinery, and working with outside contractors for major repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years maintenance experience preferably in distribution.
• Ability to read and understand manuals, blueprints, repair instructions, schematics, and test instruments.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours, including weekends.

• Preferred experience and knowledge with electrical and hazardous materials.
• Be safety-minded.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain all equipment and systems within the facility.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance or repairs to ensure machines run smoothly.
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery, equipment, or systems to diagnose malfunctions.
• Repair and maintain conveyor systems.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, and replace filters.
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
• Work with outside contractors for major repair and maintenance issues.
