About The Position

Maintenance Technician I, goal is to maintain the buildings, grounds, and common areas in the best possible condition. Maintenance Technician I, does a variety of semi-skilled work in the alteration, maintenance, and repair of plant and equipment. Employee works in a variety of trade areas including but not limited to: plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, plastering, building and grounds maintenance and mechanical repair under the supervision of the Plant Director.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED required.
Current Class C Oregon Driver's License Required. Maintain clean driving record.
One (1) year of: a) general building maintenance; b) carpentry; c) electrical; d) mechanical; e) painting, or f) plastering experience.
Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of hazardous materials and waste and their uses, interactions, dangers, production, handling, storage, and disposal.
Willing and capable to receive on the job training.
Demonstrates basic working knowledge of; a) general building maintenance; b) carpentry; c) electrical; d) mechanical; e) painting, or f) plastering.
Ability to work in emergency situations with high stress factors.
Thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail.
Ability to comprehend verbally and in writing a wide range of technical subjects.
Skills to repair technical issues.
Self-starter.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to work with little to no supervision.
Complete tasks in a safe and timely manner, following all codes and regulations.
