About The Position

The Feed Mill Maintenance position supervises and coordinates the activities of skilled trade workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, and utilities. This role is essential for ensuring that the feed mill operates efficiently and safely, with minimal downtime for equipment. The supervisor will be involved in major projects, performing various repairs and installations, and ensuring that all work meets the required specifications and guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Trade School preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience.
• Ability to work in high places (heights up to 200 ft), all weather conditions, and confined spaces.
• Ability to climb ladders and/or stairs up to 40 feet high.
• Ability to work with hand tools and weld/fabricate when needed.
• Ability to work in loud, dusty, and dirty environments.
• Ability to lift 55 lb. bags and carry across the work floor.
• Ability to work with arms overhead and/or swing a hammer for extended periods of time.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel); SAP program experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Feed Mill maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of skilled trade workers.
• Engaged in major projects, performing structural, building, utility, electrical, and equipment repairs.
• Installs, services, and repairs mechanical equipment.
• Inspects completed work to ensure it meets specifications and guidelines.
• Prepares work schedules, assigns work orders, and maintains time management.
• Communicates company policies and guidelines.
• Analyzes and assists in solving work problems.
• Maintains production equipment to meet organization standards and ensure minimum equipment downtime.
• Communicates equipment and supplies needs.
• Maintains preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
• Administers training programs for proper operations, preventive maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Administers all safety training programs and record keeping for feed mill employees.
• Maintains all preventive maintenance records.
• Follows and enforces all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Operates control system throughout the mill.
