Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Accredited HVACR license preferred.
  • 3-6 months in related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one year of hospital or healthcare facility experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good working knowledge of repair and maintenance of equipment found in a hospital setting.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Good working knowledge of computers and basic computer use.
  • Good aural activity to detect malfunctions of equipment.
  • Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance, repair, and service of all facility equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Makes recommendations to the Department Director for repair, replacement, and acquisition of equipment and systems.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.
  • Assists other departments in the completion of their duties including Environmental Services, Dietary, Security and the Biomedical Departments.
  • Fills in for Director of Facilities during his/her absence and orders supplies, calls vendors & service companies and conducts new employee orientation related to the EOC.
