About The Position

The Maintenance Technician at GNC is responsible for providing daily maintenance, both preventative and repair, on equipment, buildings, and grounds. This role involves installing or upgrading equipment for safety and efficiency, administering a preventative maintenance program, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The technician will also provide guidance and training to associates, operate equipment, and coordinate with personnel to obtain necessary materials.

Requirements

• Three years of industrial/distribution center experience or five years in a related field with passing an equivalency exam.
• Strong familiarity with electrical, mechanical, conveyor systems, HVAC, and welding.
• PC skills and ability to administer preventative maintenance systems.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work well with others.
• Compliance with company policies, SOPs, CGMP, and government regulations (OSHA, DHEC, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide daily responsive and timely maintenance on equipment, building, and grounds.
• Install or upgrade equipment for distribution and/or safety purposes.
• Monitor and adjust equipment for maximum accuracy and efficiency.
• Administer a preventative maintenance program including scheduling and managing spare parts inventory.
• Operate equipment as required.
• Initiate and lead special maintenance-related programs.
• Provide general guidance, support, and training to hourly associates.
• Clean all areas and complete paperwork after job completion.
• Coordinate with personnel to obtain materials needed for maintenance functions.
• Work overtime as required and be on call 24 hours/day.
