About The Position

This position is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on all production, facilities and maintenance equipment. Responsible for maintaining work records and data entry into the computerized work order system. Investigates, troubleshoots and follows up on machine problems and may contact outside vendors to assist. Responsible for ordering special parts for machine breakdowns and kaizens.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Skilled trade experience or trade school training.
• Knowledge of mechanical processes, welding, blueprints, electrical and pneumatics.
• PLC experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, modifies or assembles all DMNC manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Completes orders from the work order system.
• Inputs data into the maintenance computer.
• Orders special parts.
• Uses all maintenance area equipment.
• Follows TIE and TPM concepts.
• Designs simple jigs and machinery.
• Translates blueprints and other design paperwork into products.
• Troubleshoots problems and responds to Corrective Action Reports.
• Works with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Works with PLC and servo drives.
• Responsible for training and mentoring Maintenance Associates.
• Completes reports as required.
• Ensures work areas meet 5S standards.
• Responsible for following the APQP process and ensuring that all quality requirements are defined on the Process Control Plan.
• Complies with all IATF-16949 requirements.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
• Will be required to work some overtime.
• May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
