The position involves repairing, replacing, correcting, or affecting equipment to ensure it operates correctly and efficiently according to production requirements. The individual will consult with engineers and vendors as needed and accomplish layout work for each project. Troubleshooting equipment is a key responsibility. The role requires meeting safety requirements and complying with all policies or regulations set forth by Simmons or various government agencies concerning safety, environment, vehicle handling, food products, packaging, ingredients, and related items. The individual will participate as a member of the team, contributing to the ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. They will coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members and attend appropriate team meetings. The position also involves maintaining familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems and understanding the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
