The Maintenance Tech 3 is responsible for maintaining and improving high-criticality equipment and facilities. This position performs advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, leads equipment installations and improvement projects, and supports layout and refurbishment initiatives. The role requires strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and continuous improvement skills, including root cause analysis and Kaizen leadership. The Maintenance Tech 3 works closely with supervisors to prioritize work, ensures quality and cost efficiency, and provides technical guidance to Maintenance Tech 1 and 2 to deliver reliable, customer-focused results.

Requirements

  • Technical Certificate/Degree in Electrical or Industrial Maintenance.
  • 5+ years in maintenance role with experience working on Power Industrial Trucks in warehouse setting.
  • Experience working with electrical equipment (low to high voltage 6V to 480V phase and direct).
  • Strong understanding of pneumatic, hydraulics, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday 4am - 12pm.

Nice To Haves

  • PLC knowledge and programming a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Corrective Maintenance: Diagnose and repair equipment issues to restore safe, reliable operating conditions. Communicate findings and systemic issues to the supervisor to prevent recurrence. Implement corrective actions and improvements to reduce failure frequency and downtime.
  • Maintenance Work Requests: Execute specialized maintenance requests with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Collaborate directly with requesters to clarify scope, requirements, and priorities. Manage materials, spare parts, and resources to ensure timely and efficient job completion.
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on high-technology and high-criticality equipment. Identify potential issues early and report risks impacting service levels. Recommend improvements to optimize and continuously enhance the Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Special Projects & Continuous Improvement: Lead and support special projects including equipment installations, upgrades, layout changes, refurbishments, and custom fabrication. Apply A3 problem-solving methodology to identify root causes and drive sustainable solutions. Lead Kaizen events to improve reliability, efficiency, and operational performance.

  • The expected base pay range for this role is $32 - $38 an hour.
