About The Position

Join our Premier Property Management Team. The Maintenance Technician 3 is a critical member of our team who can solve a problem for our residents to keep them happy and satisfied by ensuring requests and repairs are made in a reliable, timely and safe manner. Maintenance Technicians are accountable for identifying and resolving problems, completing service requests, and making repairs in accordance with operating and safety standards. Requirements

  • A High School degree, GED or equivalent.
  • Must have vehicle, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements.
  • Equivalent education with one or two-years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and quality of advanced maintenance skills.
  • Ability to operate common office equipment, basic computer skills and mobile devices.
  • Ability to train and mentor others in various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned Service Requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties, including heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and other general repairs.
  • Recommending replacement or repair as necessary and ensuring that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving residents' homes.
  • Demonstrate plumbing capabilities such as boiler, p-traps, garbage disposal, CPO license, soldering, and diagnostics.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns, making referrals to manager or maintenance team members as appropriate.
  • Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours, coordinating the work of other staff or vendors as needed.
  • Complete and document daily building inspections with a focus on proactive maintenance.
  • Work on-call evenings, holidays, and weekends on a rotational basis.
