About The Position

The Maintenance Technician 3 is a critical member of our team who can solve a problem for our residents to keep them happy and satisfied by ensuring requests and repairs are made in a reliable, timely and safe manner. Maintenance Technicians are accountable for identifying and resolving problems, completing service requests, and making repairs in accordance with operating and safety standards.

Requirements

  • A High School degree, GED or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle, vehicle insurance and clean driving record for past 3 years.
  • Equivalent education with one or two-years' related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and quality of advanced maintenance skills.
  • Ability to operate common office equipment, basic computer skills and mobile devices.

  • Previous maintenance experience, handyman and knowledge in maintenance repairs.

  • Enjoyment in interacting with residents while performing maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned Service Requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties, including areas of heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and other general repairs.
  • Ensure that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving residents' homes.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns.
  • Perform plumbing capabilities such as boiler, p-traps, garbage disposal, CPO license, soldering, and diagnostics.
  • Demonstrate advanced mechanical knowledge including pump, heating & cooling, thermostat, zone valve R&R.
  • Change faceplates, outlets, GFIs up to 220v, breakers, testers, and meters.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with a company vehicle provided when working evenings/weekends.
