The position involves working with little to no supervision in a maintenance mechanic role within a metal manufacturing environment. The responsibilities include cleaning and lubricating machinery parts, troubleshooting and repairing various types of machinery, and maintaining pipe systems and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. The role also requires building maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing and welding, as well as repairing electrical issues as they arise. Familiarity with the CMMS system for logging labor and parts is necessary, and the candidate must be willing to work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts, as required. Participation in an on-call program is also expected, along with a strong understanding of quality, PPE requirements, safety, and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
