About The Position

Facilities Maintenance Technician at GE Aerospace's Beavercreek Site involves conducting preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment used in tube and duct manufacturing. The facility has been part of the Beavercreek community for over 70 years and is known for its manufacturing capabilities, including gas turbine tubes, ducts, and manifolds. The role includes repairing and maintaining mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines, assembling and installing pipes and fixtures, investigating equipment problems, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Two years prior experience in various maintenance disciplines.

Nice To Haves

• Intermediate knowledge of electrical work in compliance with NEC.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and electrical control schematics.
• HMI and PLC experience.
• Ability to repair mechanical equipment such as Vacuum and Heat Treat Furnaces.
• Maintenance and/or Electrical Certifications.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot controllers (Allen Bradley and Rockwell PLC’s).
• Prior team and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment tube and duct manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and maintain mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment.
• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems.
• Investigate root cause of equipment problems and develop repair procedures.
• Observe and record readings of various instruments.
• Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required.
• Order and track material required for repairs.
• Operate material handling equipment such as fork or scissor lifts.
• Comply with LOTO and other safety regulations.
