About The Position

The Maintenance Technician 2 is a critical member of our team who can solve a problem for our residents to keep them happy and satisfied by ensuring requests and repairs are made in a reliable, timely and safe manner. Maintenance Technicians are accountable for identifying and resolving problems, completing service requests, and making repairs in accordance with operating and safety standards. The Maintenance Technician 2 will take pride in serving others and delivering a caring and professional experience for our residents, our client-owners and our fellow team members.

Requirements

• A High School degree, GED or equivalent.
• One to two years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle, vehicle insurance and clean driving record for past 3 years.
• Proficiency of the English language in reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated proficiency and quality of advanced maintenance skills.

Nice To Haves

• Enjoys interacting with residents while performing maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned Service Requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties, including heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and other general repairs.
• Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours, coordinating the work of other staff or vendors as necessary.
• Participate in ongoing training to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in their role as a Maintenance Technician.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns.
• Complete and document daily building inspections with a focus on proactive maintenance.
• Ensure the attractive internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, including removing debris and weeds, and reporting maintenance needs.
