The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for assisting in the physical upkeep and maintenance of both the interior and exterior building(s) and surrounding property. Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with residents, employees, and vendors
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with regular and timely attendance
- Must have own hand tools
- Basic prep and painting abilities
- Results-driven focus and approach
- Strong customer services skills
- Adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong sense of integrity and ethics
Responsibilities
- Maintain all apartments and common areas with preventative maintenance as the goal
- Complete all written work orders assigned in a timely manner
- Assist with plumbing (e.g., sinks, toilets, and bathtubs)
- Assist with minor electrical work within units and in common areas (e.g., light switches, wall outlets, garbage disposals, etc.)
- Paint apartments and majority of common areas
- Assist with training and development of safety procedures and hazard communications
- Respond to all community emergencies as requested
- Travel as assigned between local properties, if applicable
- Other duties as assigned
