Limited availability to (1) 2nd shift and (1) 3rd shift opening Trouble shoots and repairs machinery, plumbing and/or electrical, performs preventative maintenance, and removal/installation of equipment. Requirements

  • Applicant should have general knowledge and background in HVAC, manufacturing equipment, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Applicant must have the technical skills needed to build, program, integrate, service, maintain and operate PLC’s used in an automated manufacturing plant.
  • An Associates degree (AAS) or equivalent from a two-year technical school studying applied trades is preferred.
  • One (1) or more years of directly related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety guidelines and participate as fully-empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents
  • Observes devices and equipment in operation and troubleshoot problems
  • Performs various electromechanical maintenance functions
  • Respond to internal customer service and trouble calls
  • Makes necessary repairs to equipment, as required
  • Perform equipment calibrations to all analytical equipment and measurement devices
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
  • Installs and prepares equipment for startup, as required
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts and installs special functional and structural parts in devices
  • Provide timely and effective communication of important issues to supervisor
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties
  • Responsible for housekeeping in work area
  • Uphold a safe, clean and orderly work environment
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Quality of work meets best equipment engineering and maintenance practices
  • Work closely with all shift peers and production team members
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for a minimum 8 hours or more per shift.
  • Frequent walking, squatting, turning, twisting, pushing, bending, etc. in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attendance—must be reliable and punctual.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
