About The Position

Join our Premier Property Management Team as a Maintenance Technician 1, a critical member of our team who can solve problems for our residents to keep them happy and satisfied. You will ensure requests and repairs are made in a reliable, timely, and safe manner. Maintenance Technicians are accountable for identifying problems, completing service requests, and making repairs in accordance with operating and safety standards. Starting pay is $19 per hour (and more based on experience), with the potential to earn up to $5.21 more per hour with incentives. Tools are provided, valued over $1,100, along with a company cell phone, uniform, and vehicle allowance. Live and work with Goldmark and receive up to a 20% rent discount.

Requirements

  • Previous maintenance experience, handyman skills, and knowledge in maintenance repairs.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Pride in seeing a job through to completion.
  • Ability to work with others to train and pass on knowledge.
  • Enjoyment in interacting with residents while performing maintenance duties.
  • A High School degree, GED, or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of basic maintenance repairs.
  • Equivalent education with one to two years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, vehicle insurance, and clean driving record for the past 3 years.
  • Ability to operate common office equipment, basic computer skills, and mobile devices.
  • Proficiency in the English language in reading, writing, and verbal communication.

  • Experience in property management or similar field.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned Service Requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties, including heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring, HVAC, and other general repairs.
  • Recommend replacement or repair as necessary and ensure that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving residents' homes.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents by addressing and responding to requests, questions, and concerns, making referrals to manager or maintenance team members as appropriate.
  • Perform seasonal maintenance duties as listed on the Spring/Summer and Winter/Fall checklists.
  • Complete and document daily building inspections with a focus on proactive maintenance.
