About The Position

Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism is dedicated to improving quality of life through exceptional parks, facilities, events, and recreational opportunities for all. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Represents the WildWater and CPRST brand while greeting visitors and members. Helps maintain an environment that upholds WildWater Park’s safety and cleanliness standards. Performs general and custodial maintenance of all areas of the park including, but not limited to, restrooms, dining areas, cabanas, pool decks, parking lot, food service areas, and kitchens. The work is typically performed while frequently standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping. Position may require lifting of light and heavy objects, climbing ladders, and using tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity. Helps with audio/visual equipment during events, as needed. Assists with monitoring and maintaining appropriate cleaning supplies inventory. Assists Maintenance Supervisor with equipment and facility maintenance, as needed. Assists in facilitating party rental set-ups and breakdown of events, including cleaning between parties and special events. Exhibits a friendly, professional demeanor at all times while serving the needs of guests. Administers closing responsibilities for WildWater Park. Attends all meetings as required by supervisors. Mains professional internal and external relationships in keeping with WildWater and CPRST core values and customer service standards. Work hours may vary, which will likely include nights, weekends, and some holidays, with hours varying based on time of year, events, and projects. Exhibits a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times. Exhibits proficiency in written and oral communication. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is frequently outside in various weather conditions, with occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions, and standing for an extended amount of time. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting while performing job duties. Exposure to moving mechanical parts. Must be able to routinely lift fifty pounds of weight without assistance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge in maintenance/janitorial tasks
  • Skill in problem solving and decision making
  • Skill in written and oral communication.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet Park Board employment and physical standards, which include a background check as well as drug and alcohol screening.
  • Experience and training which demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and aptitude to perform the defined duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Some knowledge of audio visual equipment preferred.
