About The Position

This position is responsible for overseeing and leading the shift maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and the production of quality products that meet customer specifications. The role involves maintaining equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to perform basic math operations and calculate percentages.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work with hazardous and corrosive chemicals in small areas.
  • Proficient in computer system data entry and navigation through various applications.
  • Ability to maneuver in close quarters and climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks regularly.
  • Ability to stand on concrete floors for long periods.
  • Ability to work in extreme environments (cold, hot, humid, slippery).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of welding functions.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate in all training activities for the position.
  • Ensure the acquired skills and knowledge are applied.
  • Ensure sanitation of equipment and housekeeping of the entire facility.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner and ensure personal appearance meets job standards.
  • Assist with mechanical line calls on shift, complete work orders as assigned, and plan and schedule additional work needed.
  • Ensure spare parts are available for plant systems and order parts as required.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain wet-end, packaging, and dock equipment under supervision.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all wet-end, packaging, and dock equipment.
  • Support the Boiler/Refrigeration area and provide resources when needed.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and operable fashion and accurately fill out daily logs.
  • Communicate with Supervisors, Shift Managers, other Team Leaders, and department personnel regarding equipment and line conditions.
