Maintenance Team Lead (Night Shift)

About The Position

Within our Waverly, NY manufacturing facility which sits in both PA and NY, we are seeking a qualified Maintenance Team Lead to join our plant team and continue to support moving our organization to even larger levels of food quality, safety, and production efficiencies.   Schedule: Leprino Foods is a 24/7 operating facility; the current vacancy is a NIGHT SHIFT position working 7pm – 7:30am. We have a 12-hour schedule which has a 2-2-3 rotation that allows for every other weekend off.  After training is complete, new hires will be assigned a regular schedule on the next available shift.   Pay Rate: $42.87 per hour $1.00 per hour weekend differential for all hours worked between 12:01am Saturday morning through 11:59pm Sunday night $0.75 shift differential for all evening hours worked between 6 pm and 5:59 am any day of the week   Job Responsibilities: Assist with time management for the completion of daily tasks and priorities. Follow up with subordinates to ensure assigned tasks are completed correctly. Ensure downtime logs, work orders, time labor hour sheets, storeroom procedures and other assigned documentation is completed. Monitor all company policies and ensure compliance is achieved. This shall include GMP’s, break/lunch periods, and safety. Must demonstrate and be able to perform most of the Maintenance Technician duties. Perform mechanical duties on equipment such as pumps, valves, conveyors, sprockets, gearboxes, etc. Work with industrial electricity (motor controls) to troubleshoot and repair electrical components and machinery including all three phase 480, 220, and other plant systems. Complete assigned maintenance tasks as a technician. Assign work to themselves and crew as prioritized by shift supervisor. Maintain close communication with shift supervisor, department forepersons and other supervisors. Provide training to subordinates to achieve an effective skilled workforce. Implement and maintain 5S standards in all maintenance areas. Additional duties may be assigned for the team lead role.    You Have At Least (Required Qualifications): Four (4) years prior background along with 2 years on-the-job experience in the maintenance of pneumatics, hydraulics, AC frequency drive, electrical controls, instrumentation, schematic reading, welding, mechanical, T/S technique and PLC knowledge. Strong knowledge of Maintenance industry best practices. Plant utilities (ammonia refrigeration, boilers, electrical, compressed air) knowledge. Practical experience with PLCs and automated machinery control systems. Practical experience leading loss control efforts in general industry. Proficient computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office products. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels within the company. Familiarity or ability to learn SAP, Maximo or similar integrated manufacturing system. Ability to influence upward, laterally, and downward without any direct line authority. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to determine the root cause to issues that arise, using skills of investigation, organizing thoughts and conclusions, and presenting these solutions to others. Requirements
