About The Position

Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products. The Maintenance Systems Specialist is a member of the Engineering, Maintenance and Site Services (EMSS) team providing support to the Maintenance teams at the Durham sites. This support position will focus implementing and maintaining CMMS/CCMS (Computerized Maintenance/Calibration Management Systems) as well as user training. This position is a 1st shift position with the potential for infrequent off shift work as needed to support business results. This position is expected to work as an independent member of an integrated team focused on achieving the team's objectives, vision, and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Science or related field and 1 year of experience in a production and/or calibration and/or maintenance background OR Associate degree or higher in Engineering, Science or related field and 3 years of experience in a production and/or calibration maintenance or automation OR H.S. Diploma, maintenance craft skill training with 5 years of experience in calibration, maintenance or automation.
  • CMMS/ERP experience related to plant maintenance and spare parts procurement systems.
  • Strong planning skills for adhering to project timelines.
  • Familiarity with GMP compliance.
  • Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP, ProCal and/or Hexagon (EAMS) software systems.
  • Mechanical functionality and reliability knowledge (asset management).
  • Experience working in a clean room or GMP/regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs and other automation platforms.
  • Experience with programming logic, including SQL and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain CMMS/CCMS systems.
  • Train users on new systems from event reporting through work execution.
  • Work with mechanics and technicians to design functional operational steps.
  • Translate existing CMMS/CCMS data for new system.
  • Assist with general maintenance and calibration activities as needed.
  • Develop metrics to monitor CCMS/CMMS performance.
  • Provide project support - completion of tasks across multiple phases to complete on time.
