About The Position

Maintenance Systems Tech is the system owner and governing authority for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role is responsible for system configuration, data integrity, standards, analytics, and continuous improvement across multiple production lines and process areas. Maintenance Systems Tech ensures the CMMS functions as a reliability and decision-support system, not merely a work order tracking tool.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience administering a CMMS in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of maintenance and reliability principles
  • Experience supporting complex or continuous process equipment
  • Experience with DRAX, C-SAMSPC Integration

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Brightly Asset Solutions or similar EAM systems
  • Familiarity with TPM, RCM, Lean, or reliability-centered maintenance
  • Exposure to regulatory or audit-driven environments

Responsibilities

  • CMMS Governance & System Administration Serve as site owner and subject matter expert for the CMMS
  • Configure and govern system structure, workflows, statuses, and validations
  • Define and enforce CMMS standards, naming conventions, and documentation
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls
  • Asset & Lifecycle Governance Design and maintain enterprise asset hierarchies
  • Define and manage asset criticality rankings
  • Govern asset lifecycle activities including commissioning, modification, and retirement
  • Link assets to BOMs, manuals, drawings, and OEM documentation
  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Strategy Design, optimize, and govern PM and PdM programs
  • Approve PM templates, intervals, and task logic
  • Use failure history and KPIs to continuously improve maintenance strategies
  • Work Management Quality & Reliability Define work order standards and failure coding requirements
  • Monitor backlog health, schedule compliance, and work quality metrics
  • Inventory Governance Govern spare parts strategy including critical spares and BOM accuracy
  • Analyze inventory usage, obsolescence, and risk
  • Support inventory accuracy and cost optimization initiatives
  • Reporting, Analytics & Leadership Support Define KPI calculations and dashboard logic (PM compliance, MTBF, MTTR, cost)
  • Validate CMMS data used for leadership, audits, and regulatory reporting
  • Provide actionable insights to maintenance and operations leadership
  • Training & Change Management Lead CMMS training, adoption, and change initiatives
  • Act as a change agent for reliability and digital maintenance practices
