About The Position

Perform a variety of Maintenance support duties related to repair, maintenance, improvements, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of industrial plant, or other establishment.   • Education/Experience: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • For current employees you must meet the following: Meet minimum qualifications stated on job description. In current position and shift for 90 days. Less than 3 instances for attendance. No performance issues or written warnings for disciplinary actions within past 6 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Some coursework in Industrial Arts preferred; or welding, fabrication or metal working experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company Policies and Procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as OSHA.
  • Confer with others to determine materials requirements and task sequences for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently, using prints and drawings.
  • Perform ground keeping duties resulting from lawn maintenance, weather conditions, or general maintenance of facility and grounds.
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures on facilities and equipment on a scheduled basis.
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
  • Maintain and repair vehicles, machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, using hand tools, power tools, and cleaning equipment.
  • May perform routine repair to system or machine in order to complete tasks.
  • Perform machine tolerance/accuracy checks.
  • Inspect safety guards and devices to ensure function and operational condition.
  • Perform minor electrical work and other repairs.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed, including other information such as time in service, parts used/needed and completion status. Communicating with other shifts as necessary, verbally or using computer templates.
  • Performs job duties in a safe and appropriate manner as well as follows all work and safety rules including any specialized safety and health training.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of work area.
