About The Position

The position involves leading, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance. The role requires managing work orders and allocating tasks to ensure timely and efficient execution of maintenance jobs. Collaboration with operations and engineering teams is essential to identify and resolve equipment issues related to safety, quality, cost, and productivity. The candidate will analyze maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, the role includes developing and executing plans for capital projects and process improvements in alignment with plant objectives. Promoting a culture of safety and accountability is crucial, ensuring all maintenance activities meet OSHA and other regulatory requirements. The candidate will also foster team engagement and performance through coaching, mentorship, and ongoing training. Monitoring and managing maintenance budgets, assisting in annual budget planning, and cost control initiatives are part of the responsibilities. Supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and development of Maintenance personnel is also required, ensuring training and skill development programs address capability gaps and align with operational needs. Other duties and projects may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, including PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics - ideally within the packaging or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven leadership experience in maintenance, engineering, or process improvement roles.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
  • Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
