About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities and supervising assigned staff to ensure the facility is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with health standards. This role involves managing janitorial and maintenance personnel, coordinating repairs, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The supervisor will also handle inventory management and requisitioning of parts and tools, while championing safety programs and maintaining compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A.A.) with four years of professional experience or Bachelor's degree (B.A.) with two years of related experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years management experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, and plumbing.
• Familiarity with electrical process techniques, code requirements, and common building methods.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Maintenance Managerial position.
• Administrative skills including managing timecards and training.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all janitorial, building maintenance, and machine maintenance personnel.
• Schedules daily work and assigns tasks to employees.
• Monitors material quality and production efficiency.
• Coordinates building maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with building codes.
• Determines construction methods for new facilities and repairs.
• Troubleshoots maintenance problems and determines corrective actions.
• Disciplines employees for safety violations and conducts performance appraisals.
• Maintains the maintenance software system and champions safety programs.
• Ensures staff receive proper training on health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Communicates with production supervisors regarding machine repairs and installations.
• Maintains wastewater treatment and HAZMAT programs.
• Issues requisitions for tools, equipment, and supplies.
