Requirements

  • Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of related computer applications.
  • Excellent understanding of facility management procedures.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, service contracts, and leasing agreements.
  • One to three years of related experience preferred.

  • Able to use all related maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the vendors/staff to ensure that the building and grounds are operating efficiently.
  • Ensure that the facility is maintained at a high level, including timely snow removal and upholding cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Maintain departmental records, logs, and files, and answer and direct telephone calls and questions.
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with external clients, customers, contractors, and officials.
  • Complete facility maintenance functions efficiently, timely, and accurately.
  • Initiate and negotiate bids with contractors.
  • Monitor utilization of equipment, facilities, and personnel.
  • Monitor all engineering operations for compliance with established safety policies and regulations.
  • Train, advise, and counsel employees, providing suggestions to improve performance and productivity.
  • Conduct performance appraisals as assigned.
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with Company personnel and management.
  • Work closely with other departments to maintain schedules and implement changes in operational procedures.
  • Assist in OSHA reviews as requested.
  • Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.
  • Maintain budgets and future estimates for individual projects.
