About The Position
The Maintenance Supervisor at VIAM Manufacturing is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing a team of Maintenance Technicians. This position requires a strong leader who can enhance the education and performance of the team through effective management of the Maintenance Department's functions. The supervisor will be tasked with tracking and analyzing downtime and preventative maintenance, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. This includes scheduling and tracking overtime, as well as managing educational opportunities for the technicians to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest practices and technologies in the field. In addition to these responsibilities, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for providing detailed reports on downtime and labor, conducting housekeeping and safety audits, and performing lockout/tag-out audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations. The role also involves providing technical support to the production floor and driving continuous improvement initiatives, such as 3S and Kaizen methodologies, within the maintenance systems. The supervisor must also be adept at addressing HR-related issues promptly and effectively. Additional responsibilities include tracking certifications for fork-truck and boom lift operations, supporting operations through scheduled dock audits, and conducting fault tree analysis to identify and resolve issues proactively. This position is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of the manufacturing facility and ensuring that all maintenance activities align with the company's goals and standards.
