The individual in this position is responsible for the management and operation of the Maintenance Department at Zoo Knoxville. The Maintenance Supervisor will work with the Director of Operations and Zoo staff to determine, initiate, and maintain policies and procedures concerning care and management of the facilities as well as actively plan for future systems, exhibits, and equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the general maintenance, repair, rehabilitation and daily appearance of the Zoo Knoxville facilities including, but not limited to, all equipment, vehicles, buildings, enclosures, and utility systems contained on zoo grounds and/or used in support of zoo programs, on and off grounds. This individual is a working supervisor and must keep the Director of Operations up to date with pertinent information and informed as to departmental activities, project status and requirements.
