Conagra Brands is hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor on our 1st shift at our Food manufacturing plant in Kent, WA. You will oversee the maintenance department, production lines, and affiliated equipment, as well as the building and grounds. Your responsibilities will include scheduling work and personnel to meet production demands, maintaining the preventative maintenance system, and working towards meeting the plant's safety and uptime goals. You will control maintenance expenses by managing overtime and parts expenses weekly.

  • Plan and schedule employees to control labor costs.
  • Monitor downtime occurrences to maintain operations.
  • Monitor the efficiencies of the production lines, paying special attention for maintenance and mechanical trends.
  • Train, motivate and direct employees to follow safe work methods standards, food safety standards and promote team achievement of goals.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with USDA officials.
  • Purchase supplies and repair parts with regard to quality.
  • Monitor the machinery and equipment to ensure safety of your team.
  • Enforce the plant's safety program ensuring compliance to all OSHA safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain equipment for efficient operation within maintenance budget; operate within the USDA regulations.
  • Seek continuous improvement in the Maintenance Department employees and the efficiencies of the production lines.
  • Assume full ownership of predictive and preventive maintenance activities/programs including oil analysis, vibration analysis, engine-compressor analysis, and infrared thermography.
  • Evaluate PM/PDM activities and frequencies to ensure optimum use of personnel and resources in maximizing equipment reliability.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical engineering or other technical degree program.
  • 3 or more years of maintenance/supervisor experience.
