About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance personnel responsible for repairing and maintaining mechanical, air, electrical, and hydraulic components of various equipment, including processing, blowmolding, filling, and material handling machinery. This role involves following blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications, and utilizing hand tools, power tools, welders, and precision measuring instruments. The supervisor will direct personnel in visually inspecting and troubleshooting malfunctions, dismantling equipment, inspecting and measuring parts for wear or misalignment, replacing defective parts, re-aligning components, and installing new piping. The supervisor must also be capable of performing these tasks independently. Additionally, the supervisor will oversee testing equipment after repair, repairing broken parts using brazing, soldering, and welding equipment, and may modify computer-controlled functions on various equipment.

Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.
Previous maintenance supervision experience.
Ability to manage technicians that perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines, plant equipment and facilities.
Ability to arc and heli arc weld.
Extensive experience with 3 phase wiring, electrical controls, programmable controllers, and strong troubleshooting abilities, including 4-20 ma current process signals, 12 VDC, 24 VDC, 24 VAC, 120 VAC, 240 VAC, 480 VAC single and 3 phase systems.
Familiarity with ammonia systems used for refrigeration, including reciprocating ammonia compressors, screw ammonia compressors, condensers, liquid ammonia pumps, evaporators, water pumps, chillers and heat exchangers.
Ability to troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), including experience with Allen Bradley Software (RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, Factory Talk View, Drive Tools, etc.).
Familiarity with the operation of steam fired boilers.
Ability to troubleshoot both pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including piping, compressors, pumps, control valves and actuators.
Familiarity with and ability to maintain regulatory programs such as OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM), EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP), and safety programs such as Lockout Tagout (LOTO).
Experience with project management, including identification of plant needs, definition of the scope of work, acquiring budget quotes, managing timeline and work to completion.
Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) like Express Maintenance or SAP, used to plan, manage and track equipment and facility Preventative Maintenance (PM) and work order (WO) functions.
Ability to give both written and verbal instructions effectively.
Ability to follow blueprints, wiring diagrams and service manuals and complete written reports.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively direct maintenance personnel.
Ability to read and write English and perform basic math calculations.
Effective time management skills to achieve results through prioritizing demands.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills.

Operate equipment and processes to ensure a quality product is packaged, prepared, and loaded for delivery to customers in a safe manner.
Relieve Operator duties during regular schedules or as a backup for scheduled breaks and/or vacation periods.
