About The Position

On July 1, 2025, IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the "Company"). The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum production quantity and quality. This role also supports the Company's policies, goals, and objectives. The supervisor leads, directs, and assists skilled trades team members safely and efficiently to meet the facility's needs and requirements. Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance and tooling directives.
  • Communicate daily priorities for all skilled trade departments and verify the quality and completion of work order tasks.
  • Oversee skilled trade contractors performing on-site contract work in accordance with established contractor policies.
  • Coordinate tool changes.
  • Supervise preventative maintenance.
  • Schedule downtime and prioritize repairs/upgrades as needed while utilizing IFS systems.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance is performed promptly.
  • Monitor the status of all preventive maintenance (PM) tasks according to schedule and make recommendations for updates, additions, or changes to the PM schedule based on experience and specific issues.
  • Ensure that spare parts and materials are available to complete PM jobs before halting production.
  • Proactively review the IFS spare parts inventory to ensure all necessary parts are in stock, thereby maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Provide direction and gain compliance from team members.
  • Offer regular performance feedback to the maintenance team.
  • Identify problems promptly and resolve them in their early stages.
  • Exhibit sound and accurate judgment.
  • Take action to prevent the recurrence of problems.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental activities, including the management and reporting of hazardous waste, stormwater pollution prevention, and spill prevention.
  • Maintain compliance with equipment safety standards and procedures.
  • Support ISO and Safety Programs.
  • Follow established safety standards, such as Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • The Maintenance Supervisor should work with minimal supervision while being capable of planning and organizing work effectively.
  • They should support both the company and plant goals constructively.
