About The Position

To support this mission, Syngenta is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Omaha, NE. This role will meet maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, and resolving problems.

Requirements

  • Experience in an industrial maintenance setting, preferably in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Proven attention to detail in maintaining equipment reliability and work quality.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in maintenance best practices.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize and coordinate multiple maintenance activities.
  • Demonstrated safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with company standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Accomplish maintenance human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising employee contributions; recommending compensation actions; and adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Meet maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Evaluate functionality and reliability of production and facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments and identifying problems and requirements.
  • Maintain function and reliability of production and facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program, operating and testing systems and equipment, and restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
  • Improve function and reliability of production and facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results and identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
  • Accomplish maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Promote and apply continuous improvement techniques to ensure effectiveness in the execution of activities, evaluating training needs and new tools or resources that guarantee team performance.
  • Implement organization and cleaning techniques (5S) to maintain a safe environment in the maintenance workshop.
