About The Position

REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill. REAL ALLOY Maintenance Supervisor Our new Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the hourly employees on the assigned shift in the Maintenance department. In this role you will: Focus on driving safety, maintenance planning support and execution, and process improvements for your assigned shift. Schedule and direct employees in assignment and completion of maintenance work, including overtime scheduling. Create and train a team of workers to achieve or exceed budgeted goals while maintaining compliance with environmental and other regulatory requirements. Communicate instructions, coordinate preventative maintenance schedules, and monitor all repairs for quality, methods, and cost effectiveness. Analyze severity and prioritizes equipment issues to minimize plant down time as well as maximize plant productivity. Support initiatives and projects which drive continual improvement, foster a culture of safety leadership, develop employees, and support business objectives. Use your experience as a maintenance supervisor in an industrial manufacturing environment to make a difference at REAL ALLOY in Morgantown, Kentucky. Union experience will be helpful, though not required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and directly related supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is required.
  • Proven ability to develop, implement and manage systems and procedures and work with minimal supervision while also leading others toward plant goal achievement.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel.
  • Previous CMMS work order systems experience
  • PLC knowledge of PLC 500 & 5000 AB processors, Ignition, SCADA systems
  • Oracle experience preferred.
  • Highly motivated, goal oriented, ethical and challenge driven.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Union experience will be helpful, though not required.
  • Oracle experience preferred.
