About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities in the assigned areas and designated shifts. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience managing a team of maintenance technicians. The successful candidate will ensure that all equipment and machinery are in optimal working condition, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Associate or Technical degree with equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in maintenance and supervision within a manufacturing environment, preferably in tire production.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. PLC experience with Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, and DC Drives desired.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Works effectively with others.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as needed, work during facility maintenance shutdown periods and respond to on-call situations as required. Must report to work on a regular and consistent basis and meet performance expectations, including working safely and complying with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and provide guidance to ensure efficient and effective performance. Provides performance feedback and takes appropriate improvement action.
  • Plan, organize, and schedule maintenance activities for designated shift(s) and manages to completion.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Oversee the preventive and predictive maintenance for machinery in the assigned areas.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to advance maintenance activities and personnel adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory levels.
  • Generate reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Implement best practices and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Act as a point of contact for maintenance-related emergencies and coordinate swift responses to minimize disruptions in the designated areas.
