The Mechanical/Electrical Supervisor position will be responsible for safely and successfully completing assigned maintenance operations projects for all Colonial Williamsburg – HG properties. The Mechanical/Electrical Supervisor will assist the Engineering Manager in executing larger infrastructure projects with assigned team. This includes Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC/R repairs/service, MEP repairs, building fire alarm systems, chiller/boiler plants and systems, primary and secondary power systems, emergency generators, emergency programs and asset protection. Essential Functions: As directed, and within a union environment, fulfills supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, the collective bargaining agreement, and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements to include monitoring adherence to safety Responsibilities include but not limited to participating in the interviewing and hiring process, mentoring/training associates, assigning work, and in collaboration with the Engineering Manager, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems Ensures compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. Follow internal policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Reviews work of team to ensure quality and quantity; ensures adherence to pertinent regulations and procedures. Ensures maintenance policy and procedures are followed for Hotel, Restaurant and Central Plants and equipment. This may include high-energy and complex systems such as: High pressure steam, high voltage, pneumatics, and PLC controls. Performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment. Receives, prioritizes, assigns, and completes work according to Work Request, prioritizes Work Request. Assists Engineering Manager in reviewing bids from firms for conformity to contract requirements and proposes acceptable bids This position is essential personnel and required to report to work regardless of conditions, emergency or otherwise Attends training needed to maintain proficiency in the field. Performs other duties as required.
