About The Position

We are currently looking for a Crew Maintenance Supervisor in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, within our Kawneer business, a leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry. Our Maintenance Team is essential to the success of our plant operations and by proactively maintaining and optimizing our assets, this team plays a vital role in driving operational performance and supporting continuous improvement across the facility. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will generally lead a team four Maintenance Technicians and be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and upholding EHS performance, practices and compliance standards that directly impacts productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. To become successful, you must be able to quickly learn the plant’s maintenance programs, systems, and equipment; exhibit strong leadership, coaching, influencing capabilities; and have technical expertise related to CMMS, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, MCCs, Mechanical, Welding, and other core maintenance technologies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance leadership experience
  • Experience with continuous improvement techniques
  • Experience with Finishing and /or Anodizing processes
  • Trained and competent in LEAN principles
  • Experience facilitating Root Cause Analyss
  • Experience leading EHS initiatives throughout an organization
  • Experience working in JDEdwards

Responsibilities

  • Lead and engage maintenance teams in process improvement, troubleshooting, and safe work practices to drive operational performance.
  • Facilitate daily shift meetings (L1) to align teams with business goals and monitor maintenance activities for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Drive problem-solving initiatives using A3 thinking, PDCA methodology, and Root Cause Analysis to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Coach, counsel, and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Plan, manage and execute departmental operations, including scheduling, crew assignments, resource management, and overtime.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards, lead safety initiatives, and perform required self-assessments for designated areas.
  • Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and productivity, while promoting best practices across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain standard work for team members and leaders; complete and review Leader Standard Work with supervisors.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align expectations, communicate priorities, and support customer needs.
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and labor agreements consistently and effectively.
