Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in McDonough, GA. The ideal candidate will be skilled in leading a maintenance team, overseeing the repair, installation, and upkeep of facility equipment to ensure optimal production. This role is responsible for designing maintenance procedures, monitoring budgets, performing inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar role
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Google Docs
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Experience with budgeting, cost tracking, and performance management
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail and a proactive problem-solver
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CMRP, HVAC, electrical license) are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Plant Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes known.
  • Oversee and plan contract work and installations done by outside vendors
  • Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings with department personnel.
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
  • Monitor warranties and service guarantees. Notify personnel of impending expiration dates.
  • Conduct a selective inventory monthly and verify with a computerized inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Locate O.E.M. manufacturers and after-market distributors to obtain competitive costs on parts or improved service.
  • Order parts and supplies.
  • Establish high morale throughout your department by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee problems.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
  • Assists with manifests for environmental disposal services
  • Maintains/coordinates projects via excel spreadsheet to delegate open work orders
