About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and motivating team members creating a positive work culture that drives results and the schedules work plans of all service crews within the Bardstown plant. This involves daily maintenance of grounds, plant facility and all production equipment. This position will be heavily involved in trouble shooting day-to-day issues related to production and project installations. The supervisor will be responsible that all utility systems – gas, water and electric – are maintained in an effective manner. This position will assist in maintaining competent, skilled maintenance personnel and staff. The Maintenance Supervisor will see that all logs and records are maintained for state and federal inspections.

  • Ability to travel 10-15% foreign and domestic

Responsibilities

  • Establishes departmental goals for service crews
  • Directs and maintains activities in the department to ensure that departmental performance is meeting established objectives
  • Assists production departments in maintaining adequate reliability and up-time
  • Works closely with supervisors and subordinates to achieve continuous improvement throughout the production plant
  • Assists manufacturing departments in implementing corrective actions in a timely manner, if associated with equipment modifications or facilities issues
  • Assists engineering and production supervision to improve processing methods, equipment and materials
  • Controls cost in the plant and department through proper staffing levels and implementing effective cost control measures
  • Develops subordinates and hourly employees by coaching, providing adequate training opportunities, and communicating accountability factors
  • Resolves employee conflicts; trains and evaluates hourly employees
  • Communicates and interacts with all plant functional departments, and establishes positive relations with sales, customers and vendors
  • Supports any efforts to maintain high-quality standards as defined by BRC and other plant-wide initiatives to help the parent-company, local company, and the department.
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment
  • Completes other duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner
