As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in building and leading a cohesive team of maintenance professionals responsible for executing planned and unplanned maintenance activities across FFP facilities. This role drives the safe, efficient, and cost-effective growth of our production units by maximizing equipment reliability, improving overall equipment effectiveness, and creating long-term solutions that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and equipment uptime.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
  • Or 5 years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience in maintenance within a food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of food processing and/or chemical processing, GMPs, clean design principles, etc.
  • Familiarity with batch and continuous processing, including filtration, extraction, and packaging technologies.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications.
  • Hands-on experience with automation implementation, including project scoping, equipment selection, and commissioning.
  • Familiarity with food safety programs such as SQF, Kosher, and others.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance team, including work planning, task assignment, skill development, and performance accountability.
  • Build and sustain a strong team environment that owns downtime, rate performance, and equipment reliability across the facility.
  • Oversee the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), spare parts inventory, and preventative maintenance (PM) program to ensure equipment readiness and reliability.
  • Fully develop the plant CMMS to include spare parts setup, inventory optimization, PM updates, and workload leveling.
  • Ensure timely planning and execution of work orders and PMs to maintain and improve equipment availability.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance mechanics and contractors required for process improvement and maintenance projects.
  • Train and develop maintenance mechanics on new technologies, processes, and engineered modifications.
  • Identify, plan, and execute projects that enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Develop tools and techniques to analyze and optimize preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Evaluate new materials, equipment, processes, and procedures to improve production lines and equipment performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
