Maintenance Supervisor Role Overview Oversees day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five (5) years maintenance experience required.
- Four (4) years of supervisory experience required.
- Programmable Logistics Controller (PLC) training required.
- Good leadership skills required.
- Good oral and written communication skills required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must be able to communicate with highly skilled technicians.
- Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and plumbing problems.
- Must be able to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assigns PM’s, checks PM completion and tracks PM completion rates.
- Manages and directs daily activities to Mechanics and Parts Clerk.
- Ensures all safety standards, policies and procedures are followed.
- Schedules maintenance employees according to workloads, vacations, etc.
- Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipates and solves problems in a timely manner, and identifies opportunities for improvement.
- Responsible for Food Safety where applicable.
- Works with maintenance team to adhere to budget costs.
- Creates department procedures and facilitates training.
- Other duties as assigned.
