About The Position

Will use technical aptitude to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment to support the organizations manufacturing goals and objectives. Will be responsible for building maintenance repairs that require basic skills such as an electrician, carpenter, plumber, mechanic, and painter. Pay for this position will be $20-$25 Per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient with computers and computer applications including MS Office Suite.
  • Will be responsible for entering and maintaining company maintenance records electronically.
  • Must have excellent math skills
  • Must have excellent tape measure skills.
  • Must be able to use small hand tools,
  • Must be able to read and interpret written work orders
  • Must be able to work with limited to no supervision
  • Must have a technical and mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to interpret diagrams, sketches, operator manuals, engineering requirements, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Maintains technical knowledge to stay up to date with equipment upgrades.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and on the job learning skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in an environment with changing priorities.
  • Dedication and ownership of workload
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 75lbs.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100lbs
  • Must be able to stand 100% of time
  • Frequently push/pull/reach /bend/ stoop / kneel/crouch /crawl/ climb/ twist
  • Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders/ not afraid of heights
  • High School diploma/ GED
  • 5 year on the job mechanical maintenance experience
  • 2 year supervisory experience
  • Must wear safety glasses
  • Must wear ANSI approved work shoe.
  • Must wear cut resistant gloves while working with glass.
  • Must wear hearing protection where designated.
  • Must use proper PPE for assigned duty

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to read and interpret job orders
  • Must have complete procedural knowledge of all machines and equipment
  • Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs to production equipment and building systems.
  • Technical ability to troubleshot equipment problems
  • Advanced knowledge of preventative maintenance initiatives and processes
  • Ability to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Ability to detect faulty operations, defective material and unusual situations. Work with staff quickly to reduce any production related downtime.
  • Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Coordinate, schedule and manage outside vendors for building services
  • Daily building, parking lot and grounds cleaning and maintenance.
  • Check, monitor and maintain functionality of safety equipment and initiatives such as guards, fire system, etc.
  • Conduct general maintenance tasks such as collecting trash, changing light bulbs, shoveling, vacuuming, etc.
  • Perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Conduct regular building/ facility inspections to identify areas that need attention.
