About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily maintenance activities to ensure equipment, machinery, and facilities operate efficiently and safely. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, scheduling preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. This includes providing overall supervision for field technicians and subcontractors during installation, maintenance, alteration, replacement and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment and facilities.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Commitment to safety and preventive maintenance principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical and background check, as condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in an industrial setting preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience as a Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff on proper procedures and safety protocols.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment. Including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; work at heights; balance for extended periods of time
