Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, Maintenance Supervisor will have direct responsibility for the plant’s maintenance team & employees (approx. 15 – 20) and associated activities across multiple shifts. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and leading the plant’s maintenance team on the repair & maintenance of the plant’s machinery, equipment, buildings and grounds. What you’ll be doing: Ensure safety of all employees; lead a comprehensive safety program (ME pillar) to prevent injuries. Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations (EPA, OSHA etc...) Develop subordinates through education, training and collaborative teamwork Assist in preparation of annual plant operating budget. Meet or exceed plant productivity, cost, or other performance metrics as identified through the global performance system (GPS) or Plant Manager. Hire, train, direct and mentor staff team members are required Support the plant’s GPS journey by leading the maintenance excellence pillar Coordinate maintenance scheduling to meet production demand demands, to manage overtime, and to reduce overall cost. Ensure maintenance employees complete required safety, quality and maintenance training as scheduled. Identify, propose or recommend capital projects with the objective of reducing plant losses and increasing efficiency. Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance programs are implemented and sustained. Will use KPIs to monitor. Collaborate with plant’s MRO and Planner to ensure spare parts inventory is available when needed i.e. breakdowns and for scheduled preventive maintenance activities Schedule, assign and supervise all maintenance work activities ensuring SAFETY and quality of work are paramount. Ensure maintenance team is using maintenance tracking system (cWorks) as designed. Develop and maintain positive work relationships with key work partners from other departments and leaders i.e. tooling, production, process, shipping continuous improvement etc.... Manage 24-hour operations to ensure each shift is supported with maintenance personnel with appropriate skillsets to minimize any downtime event. Review employee time daily and approve weekly, in Kronos, to ensure all maintenance personnel are paid correctly Ensure the maintenance staff has at least one formal annual performance review with additional coaching as necessary. Work with HR on the use of TOPPAN’s disciplinary process / procedures as necessary to address any behavioral concerns. Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Plant Manager. This position is located in Waynesville, NC and 100% onsite.
