Maintenance Supervisor The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the preventive maintenance programs for the hospital’s buildings, repairs to equipment and plant operation system. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of four years work experience in overall maintenance and plant operators including mechanical systems, heating incinerators and air conditioning.
  • Sufficient experience and knowledge in supervision and management of people.
  • Years of experience determined by the quality of assignment and related to position responsibilities.
  • Skills in oral and written communication required.
  • Operates steam boiler, waste heat boiler-incinerator, all power tools, electrical and mechanical testing equipment as well as the ability to operate all electrical and mechanical equipment and systems for an overall Plant Service Operation.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the maintenance of hospital buildings, repairs to equipment, exterior grounds and plant operation systems including:
  • Steam boiler systems including waste heat boiler.
  • Air compressor system.
  • Pneumatic tube system.
  • Medical gas system.
  • Vacuum and suction system.
  • Assist employees in trouble shooting plant operations and equipment.
  • Supervises and manages assigned supervisors and plant services employees including:
  • Counseling
  • Evaluations
  • Implementation of preventative maintenance.
  • Work schedules and shift assignments.
  • Conducts training programs for employees.
  • Supervises the requisitioning and purchasing of equipment, supplies and materials.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
