About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of all facility equipment and infrastructure within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Maintenance Supervisor will develop maintenance schedules, manage resources effectively, and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues to minimize downtime. This role requires strong leadership to motivate and guide the maintenance staff while collaborating with other departments to support operational goals. Ultimately, the Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all maintenance operations contribute to a safe, reliable, and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance roles with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards such as OSHA.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in maintenance management or relevant technical certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical).
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and extend asset life.
  • Coordinate and oversee all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and emergency responses.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with management and other departments.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment to ensure availability and cost control.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues promptly.
