About The Position

The Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role supervises and develops maintenance technicians, oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and partners with production teams to minimize downtime and support operational goals. The Maintenance Supervisor will provide overall technical direction, oversee the maintenance budget, manage maintenance vendors, have a key role in EHS administration and be a key partner in other Plant safety programs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a maintenance environment
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with QAD or like systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, strong Excel skills a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in industrial maintenance, engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Cold Heading Manufacturing and equipment
  • Experience in Fastener manufacturing
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., automotive, food, pharmaceutical, chemical)
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, schedule, and direct daily activities of maintenance technicians and contractors with support from Maintenance Lead.
  • Ensure timely completion of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and building system.
  • Troubleshoot and support technical Lead in resolving equipment failures related to mechanical and electrical, systems employing root cause analysis techniques.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Monitor maintenance work orders, labor utilization, spare parts usage, and maintenance metrics (e.g., downtime)
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies.
  • Train, coach, evaluate and develop maintenance staff; provide technical guidance and performance feedback.
  • Work closely with Maintenance Technical Lead to establish priorities.
  • Manage maintenance inventory, spare parts, and vendor relationships.
  • Participate in capital improvement projects, equipment installations, and process improvements.
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and feasibility assessments.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing.
  • Ensure Maintenance and Plant compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Administer and approve time sheets, assist with hiring and coaching actions.
