Join us as our new Maintenance Supervisor This position under limited direction is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive maintenance operations of the bio science manufacturing facility. This role involves managing mechanics across multiple shifts and more complex maintenance tasks, assisting to implement strategies, ensuring equipment reliability, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. In this role you'll make an impact by: Supervising and coordinating daily maintenance activities, including routine inspections preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency repairs. Using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), schedule and assign tasks to maintenance mechanics, ensuring optimal use of resources and tracking of key performance indicators. Leading and monitoring the performance of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback. Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental regulations and company policies. Leading documentation and follow-up for Ammonia systems Process Safety Management Program Leading the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and protocols. Developing and managing maintenance department key performance indicators for improving maintenance efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborating with other departments to address maintenance needs and priorities. Working to become a technical expert in two process areas. Coordinating work with external vendors and contractors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness of outsourced maintenance services. Identifying proactive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability or process contamination concerns through evaluations of CMMS data and participating/leading Asset Care teams. Providing documentation for Change Control Requests (CCR), Engineering Change Control (ECCs) and manuals to be downloaded to Computerized Maintenance Management System. Leading plant shutdown coordination meetings. Implementing Small CAPEX/OPEX improvements as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Able to read and write procedures, instructions, policies, or documentation in easy to understand language.
  • Able to understand design of experiment models in a production environment.
  • Adept at MS Office and other IT systems needed to perform essential duties.
  • Able to professionally present technical information tailored to a broad audience.
  • Able to effectively prioritize, work independently, and maintain timelines to complete work like projects
  • Works effectively across departments and globally
  • Uses Continuous Improvement root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques and tools
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
  • High school or Technical Trade School diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial is preferred.
  • 4-6 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food and bio science sector with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
