Learn more at www.plzcorp.com/careers or visit https://youtu.be/XYNIFpLQIJY Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for prioritizing, directing and overseeing the line maintenance mechanics in providing operational up time of all production processes, packaging and support equipment on a day-to-day basis at the Riverside facility. Additionally, this role will support cross functionally all operational departments on special projects, and customer technical requests as well as on-going safety and compliance programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in plant maintenance / engineering leadership role with proven leadership, ability to influence, & motivate others to excel.
  • Experience leading and driving change and utilizing lean tools.
  • Experience with implementing and coordinating a TPM program (CMMS - Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Computer competent in Microsoft Office Software such as Excel and Word.
  • Able to occasionally travel (less than 10%) in the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Engages and manages the line mechanics daily on technical support, machinery breakdown troubleshooting, downtime problem solving during production runs.
  • Management of maintenance technicians’ activities based on well-defined priorities derived from production needs, including setup preparation and scheduled PM.
  • Take a position within the team as a facilitator for maintenance technicians as well as their internal clients.
  • Monitoring the completion of daily leader checklists, setup completion checklists, and mechanical execution evaluation boards.
  • Contributes to equipment optimization of the production workflow to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Develops and improves manufacturing processes by monitoring production processes and adjusting parameters to maintain optimal performance.
  • Coordinates machine mechanics on performing per a scheduled Total Productive Maintenance (CMMS - Computerized Maintenance Management System) program to drive reliability
  • Identifies and assigns maintenance projects focused on reducing equipment downtime and operating costs.
  • Oversee and implement machine upgrades, installations and related capital projects to ensure maintenance team's ability to execute on daily production, projects and drive results.
  • Provides training, coaching, performance planning, and feedback to develop direct reports and skill set depth.
  • Actively participates and supports continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen Problem Solving and Rapid Improvement events.
  • Collects and analyzes production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Contributes to the development and management of the maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
  • Ensures team compliance with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and industrial regulations.
