By supervising the activities of our maintenance team, you will ensure that our physical structures, building, equipment and grounds are well maintained and ready to welcome guests. In addition, you partner with the manager to create a high-performance team and continually improve departmental operations, helping us deliver seamless, high-quality service every day. What you bring to the table Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.

Requirements

  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have a valid Oregon driver's license with the ability to be insured under the Company policy.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate of training in boiler, HVAC or building maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides input on budget planning and expenditures to ensure the department operates efficiently and within financial goals.
  • Maintain CMMS system and update accordingly.
  • Perform a wide variety of computer tasks, schedules, spreadsheets, invoicing and other duties as assigned.
  • Prepares monthly reports and offers recommendations to the Maintenance Manager for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Leads and guides team members performing painting and structural repairs on equipment, masonry, woodwork, and furnishings, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Oversees ground maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, weed removal, and the proper disposal of leaves and debris, maintaining a pristine resort environment.
  • Manages the requisition of tools, equipment, and supplies to ensure the team has what they need to perform at their best.
  • Inspects completed work to ensure it aligns with blueprints, specifications, and established quality standards.
  • Reviews production schedules and estimates labor requirements to complete assignments efficiently and on time.
  • Communicates company policies to the team and enforces safety regulations to maintain a secure and professional work environment.
  • Establishes preventative maintenance programs for all equipment and adjusts work procedures to meet production and guest service needs.
  • Implements, evaluates, and maintains policies, procedures, and training programs to uphold the resort's high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Recommends improvements to work conditions and equipment use to enhance efficiency and team performance.
  • Analyzes and resolves work challenges, providing guidance and support to staff as needed.
  • Initiates and develops training programs and motivational plans to help the team achieve their goals and maintain pride in their work.
  • Maintains accurate records of time, production, and project progress to support accountability and planning.
  • Collaborates with other department supervisors to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations across the resort.
  • Performs hands-on maintenance tasks alongside the team when necessary to support operations and maintain high standards.
  • Maintains CMMS system and updates accordingly.

  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly.
