As part of the Drug Product Division (DPD), the Greenville, North Carolina site is a multi-purpose pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging campus. The Drug Product Division - North America (DPD-NA) is one of the five divisions that make up the Pharma Services Group. We are made up of approximately 4400 colleagues across six sites who specialize in taking sterile injectable and oral solid dose drug products from development to commercialization. This position is a 12-hour Night shift from 6pm-6am on a 3-2-2 rotation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. As a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Supervisor at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will coordinate a skilled team of maintenance technicians in ensuring optimal performance of critical manufacturing equipment. You will promote excellence in preventive and corrective maintenance while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory requirements. Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams. Contribute to maximizing equipment uptime, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining high manufacturing standards. Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence as we fulfill our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Advanced degree plus 2 years of experience, or bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, or 6-8 years required in lieu of degree.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation systems.
  • Expertise in preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Proficiency in safety protocols including LOTO, confined space entry, and arc flash prevention.
  • Effective leadership skills with ability to coach, develop, and support team members.
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling maintenance activities.
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and maintenance management software.

Nice To Haves

  • BS degree preferred. Preferred Fields of Study: Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering.
  • Master's degree highly preferred.
  • Professional certifications in maintenance, electrical systems, or HVAC beneficial.
  • Experience in GMP manufacturing environment, preferably in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
  • Experience with TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience managing contractors and vendors highly preferred.
