About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and support systems. Tasked with leading a team of mechanics and electricians, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and effectively. Daily activities include planning, scheduling, and supervising maintenance activities. Mentoring and evaluating maintenance employees and playing a key role in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Read, write and speak English
  • 3+ years of Experience with industrial and facility maintenance repairs
  • Experience in leadership/direction a team of technical personnel
  • Proven teamwork and communication skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Teams
  • Experience with air compressors, cooling systems, fire suppression systems, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plastics industry, specifically compression molding desired
  • Thorough understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electronic, and electrical systems to complete all aspects of machine maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Follows all prescribed safe work operating practices that result in an improved safety and health environment for our employees
  • Follows all quality and food safety practices and procedures to ensure we provide safe, high-quality products, and services that meet customer’s expectations
  • Directs day to day maintenance of equipment including breakdowns, PM’s, and projects in order to meet plant efficiency goals
  • Directs maintenance in fabrication, installation, and completion of any project work
  • Assists with troubleshooting and repair of industrial and production equipment such as production molding equipment, air compressors, chillers, and related support systems
  • Plans technical maintenance activities within the work order system for PM’s, repairs, and projects
  • Assists maintenance crew with spare parts identification, quoting with vendors, and requisitions
  • Trains and improves skill set of all maintenance technicians through assignment of cross training and other items to continuously improvement maintenance skillsets
  • Evaluates maintenance team member performance
  • Documents maintenance repairs, PM’s, and corrective actions in the work order system
  • Makes suggestions to increase effectiveness of operations in the plant
  • Communicates with all plant team members
  • Off-hours call ins when required by management to support 24/7 plant operations
